Faster
Website: http://www.fasterthemovie.com
Starring: Dwayne Johnson, Billy Bob Thorton, Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Moon Bloodgood, Maggie Grace, Carla Gugino
Directed By: George Tillman Jr.
Plot Outline:
A stint in prison usually has one of two effects on a man – it either breaks him down or makes him stronger. For Driver (Dwayne Johnson), a 15-year sentence proved the latter. His strength was not just fueled by time, but also by a hunger to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his own imprisonment. Untouchable on the ‘inside,’ he made plenty of enemies in prison - men who were counting the days until his release so they could exact their own revenge on the outside. Now, on the day of his release, he is hell-bent on reaping vengeance upon the four men responsible for his brother’s murder. With a list of names and addresses in hand, he sprints out of the prison gates and is immediately on his mission.
No regard for witnesses. No finesse to the acts. One down. Check. Within hours of Driver eliminating the first name on the list, two men are on his trail – Cop (Billy Bob Thornton), a veteran police officer just days from retirement, and Killer, a young egocentric hitman with a flair for the art of killing. The hunter is now also the hunted.
Without hesitation, Driver methodically continues down his list while the mystery deepens surrounding his brother’s murder and who might have tipped off those responsible to their robbery plans. With each killing, Driver finds himself face to face with Cop or Killer and he evades them every time. Killer wants Driver now more than ever – he’s finally met a worthy opponent. Thus begins a do or die race to the list’s finish with new details in the 15-year old murder emerging along the way…hinting that Driver’s list may be incomplete and his life in further danger.
Dwayne Johnson (“Gridiron Gang,” “The Scorpion King,” “The Mummy Returns” ) and Billy Bob Thornton (“Eagle Eye,” “Bad Santa,” Monster’s Ball”) star in “Faster,” a co-production between CBS Films, the film division within CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS), and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group, a division of Sony Pictures Entertainment. George Tillman Jr. (“Notorious,” “Men of Honor,” “Soul Food”) will direct from a screenplay written by Joe and Tony Gayton. “Faster” will start principal photography in January 2010.
The film will be produced by Castle Rock Entertainment’s Martin Shafer and Liz Glotzer, along with Tony Gayton and Robert Teitel. Joe Gayton will executive produce.

Plot Outline:
Reese Witherspoon, Owen Wilson, Paul Rudd, and Jack Nicholson star in How Do You Know, the new comedy written and directed by James L. Brooks that takes a contemporary and romantic look at the question, “How do you know?”
Lisa (Witherspoon) is a woman whose athletic ability is the defining passion of her life, having been her focus since early childhood. When she is cut from her team, everything she has ever known is suddenly taken from her. Not knowing what to do, she stumbles toward regular life. In this mode, she begins a fling with Matty (Wilson), a major league baseball pitcher, a self-centered ladies man – a narcissist with a code of honor.
George Madison (Rudd) is a straight-arrow businessman whose complicated relationship with his father, Charles (Nicholson), takes a turn when George is accused of a financial crime, even though he’s done nothing wrong. Though he may be headed to jail, George’s honesty, integrity, and unceasing optimism may be his only path to keeping his sanity.
Before Lisa’s relationship with Matty takes root, she meets George for a first date on the worst evening of each of their lives: she has just been cut, and he has just been served. When everything else seems to be falling apart, they will discover what it means to have something wonderful happen.
